Goldenseal Skincare is a holistic skincare boutique located in both the Piedmont Avenue neighborhood of Oakland and downtown San Luis Obispo. Specializing in organic, plant-based facials and sugaring hair removal, Goldenseal Skincare's treatments focus on enhancing one's natural beauty, and creating at-home rituals to keep up your best skin health. All products used are as body and earth-friendly as can be. Products featured within treatments include local Laurel and Botnia, both from Sausalito, Honua from Hawaii and Josh Rosebrook from Southern California.
With over fifteen years of experience in the beauty industry, Goldenseal Skincare founder, Tarren Brooks, believes the key to the healthiest skin is connecting to oneself and carrying out daily self-care rituals. She is fascinated and passionate about the link of nutrition in conjunction with skin treatments and the educating in the importance of following a personalized skin care regimen. She studied skin with an herbal background and has a deep excitement about natural skincare and is trained in finding remedies for an individual's skin concerns and conditions. Tarren's experience has shown that working *with* the skin's natural functions is the best way to achieve optimal skin health. Also certified in herbalism, nutrition, cranial sacral therapy, Reiki and lymphatic drainage massage, Tarren has a healing nature that will soothe both the body and mind. She believes that daily mindful rituals are an important tool to connect the self and body. Her utmost priority is to help each client move towards wellness and to achieve their most glowing skin!
